After what must have been a long and gruelling 16 weeks, BBC Gaza Reporter Alan Johnston has been freed by his captors.
This is great news for him, his family and the media as a whole.
Whether or not his captors saw the overwhelming support for Alan, I've no idea. but I do know that 200,000 people signed an online petition for his release, myself included.
Remember, if you want to get your point across to the world, you need the press on your side.
