New Car!

It's always worrying when I don't have anything (new) to complain about for a while, but sadly that's the case at the moment. Just the same old crap that isn't worth posting about a second time.

However, I did finally get my car! It's a nice little 1996 Mazda 323. It has a couple of minor bodywork issues but as far as we can tell so far no mechanical issues at all. I can't drive it yet but it won't be long!




Of course the current issue is finding insurance for the thing. I have a few quotes and a couple of them are pretty good, but trying to find the lump sum is a challenge and paying monthly got me a lovely 25% APR tacked on, bouncing the price up a couple of hundred quid, which seems a little excessive.

And even more bizarrely, switching from a provisional license to a full license actually INCREASES the price! What's that about, huh? Madness.
